We made our way down to the lakes........
Across the bridge......................
Under the trees where the frost lingered..................
Recent storm damage was evident all around, it was sad to see
the trees and branches looking so forlorn...
But there was a quiet beauty in the edges of the frozen lake...................
Heading through the woodland..............
And back to clear blue winter skies...................
Where we were greated by a duck regatta..............
Wise old owl near the Visitor Centre......
And finally to the Hardwick Inn, to take in the view across the tea gardens
